The Department of Applied and Science and Technology thrives to accomplish its vision
of developing proficient students along with promising and challenging careers. It is a DST-FIST Sponsored Department from 2018 is also a part of Member
Site of Tamilnadu Appraisal Committee, Department of Industrial Safety & Health, Government of Tamilnadu is progressing exponentially with a vision for developing efficient and technically sound students to outperform in their career worldwide.
Our mission is to educate students with individual attention and to provide world-class quality education and hence taking care of character building. As a member of Environmental Clearance Board, Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board,
Govt. of Tamilnadu, we are engaged in interactions with society and industry through a variety of outreach programs with the aim of providing quality
higher education on par with international standards.
With a proved Member of Technical expert for Tamilnadu Text book Corporation, Government of Tamilnadu, the Department encourages
the students to accomplish the technical knowledge into the real life practical applications. This excellent education system and the high impact
research provided by the department are aimed at making a distinctive and positive impact on the students.
The faculty of the department has been responsible for establishing and spearheading many new programs reflecting in a real sense,
a major contribution of this department of learning to National growth and development and beyond. Currently our happy days are headed by
Dr. S. Kalaiselvam, an educator, a researcher himself and a dynamic personality whose guidance and support has headed the department to success.
The department has a team of dynamic, young and dedicated staff and research scholars, with specialization in wide areas of subjects and research work.
The department offers full time courses for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses in Petroleum Engineering and Technology and Industrial
Safety and Hazards Management. The Petroleum Engineering course offered by the Department has featured in the top 51-100 bracket in the QS World University
Rankings (by subject) 2021 also our M.Tech Programme ISHM was approved by the Labor and Employment department, Tamilnadu as per G.O.M.S.No.27 on 03rd Feb 2015
