Facilities
- There is a Complaints Committee under the auspices of the Centre for Empowerment of Women. The problems faced by women staff, students are redressed in this committee.
- A Day Care Centre is functioning at the main campus, Anna University under the auspices of the Centre for Empowerment of Women catering to the day care needs of the children of staff of Anna University. Children from the age group of 1.5 years to 13 years are taken care of in the centre. At present about 40 children avail the facility. The Day Care Centre is being run with proper amenities. The Day Care Centre functions with a team of three office assistants. Surveillance cameras have been fixed at the Centre ensuring proper supervision of the activities of the centre.
- The Day Care Centre, MIT Campus caters to the needs of about 25 children with Ms.T.Catherine Bina, as the Coordinator, and a teal of three office assistants. The Centres at both campuses organizes many activities for the children periodically. Various competitions such as Painting Competition is being organized every year. Various workshops, arts and crafts classes and summer camps are conducted for these children. Both the centres have adequate play facilities.
- A Committee for Women Security was formed for laying certain mandatory guidelines and directions to be followed by all the affiliated colleges, constituent college, and all campuses of Anna University in the campuses and these guidelines were sent to all the colleges and they have also been instructed to form Women Empowerment Cells in their respective colleges for looking into the security of women in the campuses. Accordingly the colleges have formed the women empowerment cells and have been functioning for ensuring the security and empowerment of women.
