AIR AND NOISE QUALITY MONITORING LABORATORY
Air and Noise Quality Monitoring Laboratory with an area of 40 sq.m, houses major instruments for emission and ambient air quality monitoring. The instruments available are High Volume Sampler, Fine Particulate Sampler, Stack Monitoring Kit, VOC and CO Analyzers, Haz-Dust Analyzer, Sound Level Meter and Multiple Flue Gas Analyzer.

ENVIRONMENTAL MICROBIOLOGY LABORATORY
The Environmental Microbiology Laboratory upgraded with special assistance from the University Grants Commission was modernized under the GTZ Project. This air-conditioned laboratory has an area of 450 sq.m. and is well equipped for the analysis of water, industrial wastes, soil and air samples for microbiological components. Microbes associated research works are undertaken by students and research scholars in this laboratory. The major equipments available in the Environmental Microbiology Laboratory includes Phase Contrast Microscope, Stereo Microscope, Scanning Microscope, Projection Microscope, Refrigerated Centrifuge, Incubators, Deep Freezer, Laminar Air Flow Chamber, Shaker, Constant Temperature Waterbath, Refrigerator, Colony Counter, BOD Analysers, Autoclave, Oven and Portable water Analysis kit.

UNIT OPERATIONS AND PROCESSES ENGINEERING LABORATORY
The Unit Operations and Processes Engineering Laboratory with an area of 180 sq.m. has 12 movable and 2 fixed work tables and enables 20 students and researchers to conduct treatability studies on water and wastewater. This laboratory houses field sampling equipments and other major facilities including Digital UV Spectrophotometer, Flame photometer, Orbital shaker, Rotary shaker, Analytical Balance, Hot Air Oven, Centrifuge with Accessories, Muffle Furnace, COD Digestor, High Speed Centrifuge, Sieve Shaker and Deep Freezer. The Unit Operations and Processes Engineering Laboratory also houses number of process reactor like Sonicator, Ozonator and Bench Scale Treatment Plant models.

RESEARCH LABORATORY
The Research Laboratory has an area of 120 sq.m. with six worktables. It is designed to accommodate about 15 students / research scholars. This laboratory is established to provide workspace for keeping lab-scale reactors which are used for the project work of post graduate students and the research work of Ph.D scholars. At present, the laboratory houses equipments like sophisticated Bioreactors, BOD Analyser, Ozonator, Centrifuge and other routine instruments used for research work.

ANALYTICAL LABORATORY
Analytical Laboratory is composed of Wet Chemistry Laboratory and Instrumentation Laboratory. The Analytical laboratory has an area of 280 sq.m. in which the Wet Chemistry Laboratory occupies an area of 140 sq.m. and the Instrumentation Laboratory occupies an area of 140 sq.m. Instrumentation Laboratory houses sophisticated instruments for analysis of water, wastewater, air and soil samples. Major instruments available are Hybrid-Generation Atomic Absorption Spectrometer, Flame Atomic Absorption Spectrometer, Graphite Atomic Absorption Spectrometer, BOD Analyzer, Mercury Analyzer, Flame Photometer, TOC Analyser, SO2 and NOx Analyzer, Gas Chromatography, High Performance Liquid Chromatography , Ion Chromatography, Spectrofluorometer, UV Visible Double Beam Spectrophotometer, Colorimeter, Ion Meters, Ion Selective Electrodes, Field Test Kits, Gas Monitors, Extractable Organic Halogenes Analyzer, Absorbed Organic Halogenes Analyzer, Dissolved Oxygen meters and Precision Balances. All physical, chemical and biological analyses of diverse environmental samples are carried out in the Analytical Laboratory.
PROJECT LABORATORY
Project Laboratory has been designated to carry out extramural research and consultancy projects. A wide variety of analytical facilities are available for the physical and chemical analysis of water, domestic and industrial wastewater and sludge samples. The project laboratory has been established with an area of 40.5 sq.m. Instrumentation facility available in this laboratory includes BOD Incubator, COD Digester, Muffle Furnace, Hot Air Oven, Refrigerator, Magnetic Stirrer, Desiccators, Weighing Balance, pH Meter, EC Meter, Spectrophotometer, Peristaltic Pump, UV Reactor, Fume Hood, Lab-scale Photo Reactors and Bioreactors.

COMPUTER LABORATORY
Computer Lab consists of fifteen workstations equipped with Intel(R) Core (TM) i5 CPU and LCD monitor. All the computers are connected with 100 mpbs internet network and 0.75 kV UPS. The lab is equipped with Groundwater Flow and Contaminant Transport Modelling Software - ‘Visual MODFLOW Flex’ for building larger, more complex, credible models, more efficiently with stunning 3D visualization. Other facilities available at the computer lab includes two HP laser jet P3015 Printers, Scanner and Digitizer Board.

LIBRARY
CES Library with an area of 100 sq.m. has about 5555 books in the field of Environmental Microbiology, Air Pollution Control, Ecology, Environmental Toxicology, Hazardous Waste Management, Sewerage and Sewage Treatment, Industrial Effluent Treatment, Solid Waste Management, Remote Sensing Applications, etc. In addition, CPCB publications, International and National Standards, Project Reports and Conference Proceedings are available in the library.

AUDITORIUM
The fully air-conditioned Muthian Auditorium of the centre has all modern facilities such as the state of the art projection and recording units for conducting National and International meetings. This auditorium can accommodate about 140 persons.
CONFERENCE ROOM
A Conference Room with an area of 70 sq.m. is available at CES. It can accommodate about 35 individuals. Available facilities includes Multimedia Projector, Flip chart, Poster frames, Magnetic writing board, etc. Refresher Courses, Workshops and Group Discussions are conducted here.
